A free summer school in “Multimedia and Participatory Arts” in Gorizia.
THE PROGRAM – The summer school “Multimedia and Participatory Arts”, during its intensive course, will offer three in-depth modules. There will be “Street Cinema” curated by Tekla Taidelli. A practical workshop that will use the techniques of street neorealism through the language of cinema. Also on the program is “Expanding Theatre” with Caroline Bernaud and Stegan Kaegi of Rimini Protokoll. The workshop will be an opportunity to understand the methods of creating new performance formats between theater, participation and new technologies. “Multimedia Experience” will instead be an opportunity to understand how to create immersive experiences in cultural contexts, outside of theater and cinema thanks to IKON, a company based in Milan and Udine, which uses new technologies to tell cultural realities. Within the summer school, dedicated moments will also be organized in collaboration with the urban and multimedia theater festival In\Visible Cities which on the same days will create shows, installations and meetings in Gorizia. Participants will be put in contact with national realities through the comparison and listening of unconventional artistic experiences.
GORIZIA – Invasioni Creative, in collaboration with In\Visible Cities Festival and the Municipality of Gorizia, with the support of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and Fondazione Carigo, calls upon students, professionals from the world of art, performance and multimedia, inviting them to participate in the call for the summer school “Multimedia and Participatory Arts” scheduled from 29 August to 1 September 2024, in Gorizia which, in 2025, together with Nova Gorica, will be the European Capital of Culture.
