Prometheus in Athens

ON THE NIGHT OF THE PERFORMANCE KATERINA MANIDAKI WILL WALK UNTIL THE VICTORIA TRAIN STATION AND WILL TAKE THE TRAIN UP TO MONASTIRAKI.  THERE SHE WILL NEED TO CHANGE TRAINS TO REACH THE ACROPOLIS STATION.  SHE WILL WALK ON DIONYSIOU AREOPAGITOU TO THE HERODION THEATRE.

 

She was born and raised in Herakleion, Crete in a very conservative family.  Since she was a teenager she had major conflicts with her family, quit high school at the age of 13, and until the age of 28 lived in illegality.

At the moment, she works in a bakery in Neratziotissa and in the afetrnoon she takes lessons in a ‘second chance’ school in order to get her high school diploma.  Her dream is to be able to study psychology.  She loves to sing «I often stop, sing and dance when I pass by live music concerts and I feel sad not being able to sing in front of an audience». She is very proud for her job at the bakery.  One day that she wasn’t at work, the customers kept on asking for her, wondering if she’s fine.  When her boss found out, she felt so fulfilled and happy.

She would connect with Prometheus because of his stubbornness to achieve his goal.
