Kyriakos Reizis was born in Athens. He went to primary school, and only 2 years of night high school because he worked as a plumber in building sites since a very young age. At the same time, he practiced running, professionally, in a team. When he became 20 years old he left with the navy and ended up in South Africa where he stayed for the next 28 years “I went as a technician and I ended up building a life there.” His wife is half South African half Hollandaise, and they have three sons together. The family returned to Athens before Nelson Mandela became president, around 1993.
Now, he jogs every morning around the neighbourhood and takes part in marathons.
He doesn’t remember much from ancient myths and texts. However, he knows the plot from Prometheus and he would identify with Hephaestus because he is a technician. “As technicians, daily, we try to find solutions, patents. We do small discoveries every day.” He really loves his art.
