Prometheus in Athens

ON THE NIGHT OF THE PERFORMANCE HE WILL DRIVE WITH HIS CAR FROM HIS HOME TO THE HERODEION FOLLOWING THE ROUTE : FYLIS, LIOSION, OMONOIA, STADIOU , FILELLINON, SYGGROU, CHATZICHRISTOU STREET.

 
Fotis says he has done everything in life : "Because I come from a poor family, I couldn't afford to travel. So I began working as a sailor on ships, thus I visited the USA, Seychelles, Kuwait, the Indian Ocean, Africa. I like to be in motion: when you move you see, listen and learn".

He once tried to open a coffee shop. He ended up going to the urban planning every day for a whole month without any results : "'Apparently', according to the woman working there, a different official paper was missing everytime. The problem was solved when I paid her 300.000 drachmas. I have never had so much pleasure in my life then at that time".

Today he is one of very few people in his neighbourhood who didn't exchange his family house for an apartment in a block of flats : "I have a backyard where I like to spend time with friends barbecuing. I also like to sit on my roof and gaze at the sunset. I would be a fool to change that".

Fotis never read any ancient drama, but he once co-owned a small manufacture, where he was making and selling marble bust replicas of Greek gods, columns, hawks etc.
From the Aeschylus -play he identifies with Prometheus, because : "it seems to me that he did the right thing. No wonder that there is no temple for Prometheus. Sinners build temples to atone from their sins".
