I strive incessantly
NAME: GIORGOS EMMANOUILIDIS
AGE: 29
PLACE OF RESIDENCE: ZOGRAFOU
BIRTHPLACE: WUPPERTAL, GERMANY
ORIGIN: KAVALA
ON THE NIGHT OF THE PERFORMANCE HE WILL DRIVE WITH HIS CAR FROM HIS WORK IN MAROUSI TO THE SUBWAY STATION ETHNIKIS AMYNIS, GET ON THE BLUE LINE TO SYNTAGMA AND FROM THERE ON THE RED ONE TO AKROPOLI. THE REST OF THE DISTANCE HE WILL WALK.
His parents moved to Wuppertal, Germany in the early 1970, in search for a better future. Giorgos finished a Greek school there and came to Greece in 1999 to study at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA - Polytechneio). Today he works as a civil engineer at an engineering consulting firm.
He doesn't think to work abroad, although he is disappointed from the general situation in Greece: "We live in a Burberry and Lacoste dictatorship of consumption, in which people are overly interested in their social status. Jobwise you don't get paid as much as you should and the famous Greek hospitality ends at the sight of an Albanian".
He doesn't read ancient drama. From the Aeschylus’ play he identifies with Via (violence), because “people who don't speak much, are most of the time right”.
