I WORK BLOODY HARD AND THEN I GO AWAY

Name: Terje Gammelsrud
Age: 70
District: Frogner
Nationality: Norwegian
I live with my cohabitant.

I run the publishing company Hverdag AS, and I am an editor and publisher of the magazine Cupido.

I belong to the freethinkers, the socially committed, the mushroom pickers, the radicals, the wine drinkers, the travellers who like to come back and the nuanced but I do not belong to the extreme, the churchgoers, the power lovers or the career climbers.

I live in Oslo because I am born here, and I have basically lived here all my life. I was born in Gamlebyen, and all my great grandparents are from here. Oslo is a functional city, but I think it’s a pity that the city is so divided between east and west. The best thing about the city is that it is only half a million people here.

I was forced to read An Enemy of the People a long time ago. As an adult I have come to appreciate the thoughts of Ibsen. Regarding the quote “the strongest is the one standing the most alone” I think both yes and no. You can be, and then you are lucky.

I became a culture journalist in Dagbladet by a coincident, I caught what was happening at the cultural front in Europe in 1968. It was very important for me that I was confronted by the radical waves.

To the performances I will walk through the Castle Park.
