Danai Fourla is a molecular biologist working in a stem cell bank which also executes experimental treatments using stem cells. There are cases where using stem cells children with autism have shown an exceptional improvement, or people with burnt skin have seen it healed. Cases with leukaemia and other diseases can be helped and treated through these experiments.
Danai is particularly happy to see little children improving their life quality and being able to live like the others. Last year, she had the case of a young boy with brain damage and walking disability. Within a year after the transplant, the boy managed to walk, something unbelievable a few months ago.
She loves traditional Greek dances and she’s very good at them. She is also a member of the Luceum Club of Greek Women in Argos, a big traditional Greek dance school, but the dances from the island of Crete are her favorites.
She is an optimist and perfectionist person with extremely organizational skills. She comes from Argos, Argolida , and came to Athens to work. That’s the reason why she identifies herself with Io, a character from her city too, who, as herself, have been through a lot in order to accomplish her desires.
[103-105] “I must bear my allotted doom as lightly as I can, knowing that the might of Necessity permits no resistance.”
Iphigenia in Tauris and in Aulis are her favorite ancient Greek tragedies, because of the tragic main character.
