I’M RUNNING CONFUSED
NAME: MARIA STATHI
AGE: 34
PLACE OF RESIDENCE: MELISSIA
BIRTHPLACE: KALAMATA
ORIGIN: CRETE, EPIRUS AND ASIA MINOR
AT THE NIGHT OF THE PERFORMANCE SHE WILL DRIVE WITH HER CAR TO DOUKISSIS PLAKENTIAS METRO STATION AND TAKE THE METRO TO AKROPOLIS STATION IN ORDER TO GO FROM THERE BY FOOT TO THE THEATRE, WALKING UP DIONYSIOU AREOPAGITOU STREET.
Born in Kalamata, rehabilitation doctor Maria prefers to be called Marva – a combination of the names Maria and Vassiliki, though the second name was never given to her after all. She lives at the house of her aunt, next to her parents house. As she explains, on the contrary of general opinion, it is quite hard to become a doctor, because you must stay a long time unemployed – as she is now, while waiting to start her special advanced training in a hospital as a resident.
She enjoys The Bacchae. She read the play after the inspiring performance directed by Peter Brooke in Epidaurus. Her favourite character is Dionysus, because he is a god.
She identifies herself with the Chorus of Okeanides because they support Prometheus and also advise him to reconcile. Her tutors pointed out that she has the ability of presenting something worth nothing for something of higher value.
