Maria Tsavlou left Greece for Germany (Opladen,Cologne) at the age of 17, in order to help her brother raise his children. She worked at the Bayer factory as a chemist in Cologne - Mühlheim. In the beginning, she dedicated each afternoon for learning the German language. She didn’t want to return to Greece but she had to because of family reasons. In 1978 she came to Patras, where she opened a barbecue restaurant with her husband. In 1983 she got a divorce and came to Athens with her son. She worked in Ioniki Bank as a cleaning person. Last year she got her pension.
Right now she enjoys summer swimming and during the winter she does creative work on her own. She wants to learn art jewelry and carving. She takes part in the choir of the Seniors Day Care Center. She dedicates a great time of her time doing gardening and does a collection of stamps. Each Sunday she goes to see auctions from the Patras Student Association in Piraeus.
She hasn’t read ancient drama. She would connect with Prometheus because of his patience: «when one knows, he can be patient.»
