Christos started working from a very young age to support his widowed mother and his siblings: "I worked as a tailor, a shoe shiner, a greengrocer; I used to sell peanuts in the night clubs where Stelios Kazantzidis and Vasilis Tsitsanis sang. Sometimes, I was getting paid in kind, e.g. i was given bread or I took home the leftovers".
At the age of 16 he got involved in the construction business: "stones, iron, moulding, tiles, frames. 4 years later I knew everything that was needed to build a house, and without realizing it I became my own boss".
Today, he is the president of the 3rd K.A.P.E. of Kallithea and because he always likes to help people, they call him "dad" and "Papa Smurf" : "I wish I could do and contribute more to society, but I don't get a similar response from the people. Most of them are not willing to contribute the same as everybody else".
Christos doesn't read ancient drama: "It's easier for me to build a house then to read a book". From the Prometheus text he identifies with the main character : "He did something good and he supports his choice".
